Giddie Up, Partner!

Isaiah and Amaiah went to their first rodeo last weekend. They had a great time. They loved the horses, popcorn, candy, buggies and waving to the people in the buggies. We got there nice and early and had a great spot to see all the action. Yee-haw!

Hi Yaaaaa!!! Isaiah Graduates!

Isaiah started Tae Kwon Do and is doing great! He earned a new belt and was part of the graduation at his Tae Kwon Do school. He did great at graduation! We're SO proud of our little Chuck Norris!

Prelude to a Teen

If this isn't a look into a crystal ball, then I don't know what is. We set up a computer station for Isaiah to play his Nickjr.com and noggin.com games. It's amazing to watch him navigate from the start menu all the way to his games. I have a feeling he will be texting before we know it.

Two Cool Kids

Who can deny the coolness of these two kids?! Those are Dora Shades and a "The Who" shirt being worn by Amaiah...and on Isaiah you will find none other than Batman shades and a Tony Hawk shirt. They will be performing here everynight...remember to tip your waitresses.

Little Explorers

Amaiah and Isaiah love to go exploring. We go out back in a "wash" behind our home and they look for treasure or dino's or any new find they can dig up. By the way, a wash is an empty space of desert that looks like a river dried up.

When is Football Season?!

Grandma and Grandpa got Isaiah an Ohio State Football jersey and he loves it! He wants to sleep in it, wear it to school, and all around the house. He now says, "Go Bucks!" for anything that is exciting. Take a look at those muscles...I'd say he's either a quarterback or linebacker.

Let me see, Daddy! Let me see, Daddy! Whenever the camera is brought out, Amaiah wants to see each picture taken and try to take her own pictures. What a cutie!

Isaiah Turns 4!!!

Isaiah had his 4th Birthday and he was SO excited! Everything from picking out the cake to the pinata that he got into it with....he had a blast! It was also nice to spend it with Nonni, Poppi, and uncles Nelson and Mitchal. And he even showed some love to the Chesnos' with the baseball cake. Happy B-Day Little Man!

Loves Me...Loves Me Not

It's a love/hate thing. Isaiah has been such a great big brother to his lil' sis. That's not to say that there aren't times when he is slamming his door letting the world know that "I not love Amaiah anymore!!" Then the next minute he's lookin' out for his sister so she doesn't get hurt or telling one of us that we need to do something for her to make her happy. And he's always covering for her. It's clear that she did something wrong and Isaiah tries to make up a story or argument why she didn't do it or how it's not wrong. (Sounds something like his ol' dad in court). It's good to see they love each other so much.

Nonni and Poppi sent Amaiah her birthday gifts and she just loved them. There was a backpack for her new monkey and some dress-up shoes that she couldn't wait to put on. She looked so happy. Would it be too much to put a shirt on Mai?

Good Morning Sunshine

"Want waffles Daddy, want waffles Daddy, want waffles Daddy," etc. etc. That's what this little ray of sunshine was saying this great gettin' up morning. It is so annoying, ahemm, cute, how she just repeats something no less than 20 times, everytime, until she gets it. Just thought you'd like to see our little Meyer first thing in the mornin'!

San Diego Zoo Visit!!

We went to San Diego for Lance and Gina's wedding and heard that they had a zoo there, so we decided to check it out. I can tell you it was no Tucson Zoo, but it was okay. Oh, ok. The Tucson Zoo is about as big as the entrance to the San Diego Zoo. It was a great time seeing the animals and watching Amaiah take on the lion. The kids had a great time with Nonni and Poppi!

No Mom, I Can Do It!

Isaiah has become a wiz at using the computer! He navigates nickjr.com and noggin.com like a pro. Carly started him at the library working on the computers and Isaiah has taken over the laptop at home. All you have to do it get him to the website and he clicks on different games and let's you know that "It's just loading. You have to wait." I'm just waiting for him to start complaining that the computer is too slow and he needs a new one. It's really neat to watch him moving the mouse and clicking icons and playing the games. Next step: Keys to the car.

Trick or Treat!! '09

The kids had a blast trick or treating this year. After the first house, Isaiah said, "Let's try it again!" He couldn't believe that people were handing out candy. We tried it again, and again, and again, and again... After each house, he was just as excited as he was for the first house. It was fun to watch them run to the different houses to get candy. And after each house, and I mean EACH house, Amaiah just had to eat the candy they just gave to her. Like if she didn't eat it right then, she was gonna lose it or something.

Amaiah Turns Two!!

Amaiah had a great 2nd Birthday! She loved the cake and presents. Thanks for everyone who sent her birthday gifts. The kids LOVE getting packages in the mail. I can't believe she's already two! I still remember the day that the doctor told us we were having a girl...it seems like yesterday. Yeah right!! Over a thousand dirty diapers later, it feels more like she's 12 not 2, and I'm more like 50 something rather than 30 something. But it's been great. Especially when I hear: "Ummm, Daddy...lub youuuuu." Or when it takes a dozen kisses before she let's me head out to court. Or the phrase said at least 100 times a day: "Hee too, Daddy, hee too!" Which obviously means "pick me up!" That's my girl!

Isaiah's First Day of School

August 11, 2009. Isaiah's first day of school at Copper Creek. As you can see, Isaiah loves his Lightning McQueen & Mater backpack. Me and Carly were as nervous as ever. We have had two children (one with no epidural), we have jumped out of an airplane at 12,000 feet, but nothing compares to the feeling of dropping Isaiah off at his first day of Pre-School. Carly and I both felt like we were going to actually throw-up. But, alas, everything went great!!

Isaiah was excited to go to his "schoo-koo." When we got there, there was a sign that said "Parent's Waiting Area" by a gate to his classroom. The teacher and an aide came out to get the kids. They grabbed about three or four children and went to take Isaiah's hand all the while saying, "Say good-bye to Daddy." Yeah right! I had to let these people know - Daddy's walking Isaiah to his classroom to make sure he doesn't freak out. And he didn't freak out. (I'll post the video of when he first walked in the classroom too). He walked right in and started playing with toys. And then there's me...hanging out just outside the classroom, every once in a while peeking my head around the door looking like a crazy man. I'm sure someone had their cell phone out about to call the cops. "Who is that creepy guy looking in the class?!" But walking away from that classroom was one of the hardest things I've done.

The Pick-Up: Carly picked him up and here's the quote from our little man: "I love my school, forever." Now, when he's 16 and it is taking a crane to get him out of bed to go to school, I'll remind him that he said he loves school, forever.
